REPRODUCTION IN MY PLANTS

07.10.2020

Plants are biotic organisms because they have life.

I have four plants

1. Onion

2. Spinach

3. Coriander

4. Potatoe

POTATOE REPRODUCTION

SEXUAL AND ASEXUAL

POTATOE REPRODUCTION ASEXUAL WAY
POTATOE REPRODUCTION ASEXUAL WAY

Potatoes reproduce SEXUALLY naturally via pollination by bees between potato plants. They also require seeds, the cells involved for sexual reproduction in plants. Meanwhile, potatoes can also be grown ASEXUALLY through vegetative reproduction. This can be done, for potatoes, but planting a part of it (e.g. half a potato) and growing it. The result will be potatoes genetically identical to the parent potato.

ONION REPRODUCTION

SEXUAL AND ASEXUAL

Onion-bulbs self-propagate (fancy way of saying asexually reproduce) by producing bulbs which grow from the base of the onion, or by flowering during the second year of their biennial cycle, during which they are pollinated by wind or vectors like bees.

SPINACH REPRODUCTION

SEXUAL AND ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION

Spinach is a flowering plant. It reproduces through pollination and seed production, like all flowering plants.

CORIANDER

SEXUAL REPRODUCTION

The coriander reproduction is sexual, it has flowers that get polinized by insects.
